Prime Minister Ibrahim Mahlab held a meeting on Tuesday with South Sinai Governor Khaled Fouda.
The meeting focused on the ongoing preparations for Egypt's Economic Conference which will kick off on March 13-15 in the Red Sea resort of Sharm el-Sheikh.
The premier underscored the importance of the conference in attracting more investments and helping improve Egypt's economy.
The governor posted Mahlab on the recent development works in the coastal governorate, noting that preparations and arrangements were made to ensure a successful forum.
Fouda said security measures were beefed up and more surveillance cameras were installed, adding that all departments will be on high alert for the international event.
