President Abdel Fattah El Sisi on Saturday met with Norwegian Foreign Minister Borge Brende on the sidelines of the Egypt Economic Development Conference (EEDC) currently in session in Sharm el Sheikh.
Presidential Spokesman Alaa Youssef said the meeting dealt with ways to promote bilateral relations and increase Norwegian investments in Egypt.
The two sides also discussed regional issues of common concern, especially the situation in Libya, the Middle East crisis and international efforts to combat terrorism.
The three-day international economic conference is attended by hundreds of business executives and world leaders.
