Saudi Arabia signed five agreements Tuesday to donate USD 176 million to Jordan to finance development projects, part of the GCC's collective USD five billion contributions to the Hashemite Kingdom.
Jordanian Prime Minister Abdullah Ensour, in a brief speech on sidelines of the signing ceremony, said the donations were part of Saudi Arabia's USD 1.25 billion share of the GCC five-year contribution.
Yusuf Al-Bassam, Vice-Chairman and Managing Director of the Saudi Development Fund, said the donations aimed at developing the health and services sectors, in addition to other development projects.
Jordanian Minister of Planning Ibrahim Saif signed the agreements with Al-Bassam.
