Qatar Chamber hosted on Wednesday Qatari-Polish Business Forum and the bilateral meeting with Polish Business Delegation, currently on a visit to Qatar to discuss aspects of enhancing investment and economic cooperation between Qatari businessmen and their Polish counterparts.
In remarks to the Forum, Qatar Chamber Board Member Adel Al Manai said Qatar has variety of business opportunities to offer to those who seek new investment destinations, across a range of the country's fastest growing sectors, including oil and gas, construction, energy, telecommunications, healthcare, banking, financial institutions, tourism and real estate investment.
"Qatari businessmen are also interested to have partnerships with their counterparts in Poland especially in those sectors. They are eager to know the available investment opportunities in your country", Al Manai said.
"I hope that your visit will be enlightening about the attractiveness of doing business in Qatar, will emphasize that we indeed have one of the fastest business growing environments and provide you with an insight on why Qatar holds such a leading position in these rankings." Qatar Chamber, he said, strongly encourages both countries’ businessmen to have fruitful discussions and to build new partnerships for the benefits of economy in Poland and Qatar.
Katarzyna Kacperczyk, Undersecretary of State for Africa, Asia and Middle East Policy of Polish Foreign Ministry, highlighted the importance of enhancing political and diplomatic cooperation between the two countries, saying that will help in forging constructive investment and economic partnerships and in enhancing relations between Qatari and Polish businessmen.
She added that the diversity of investment opportunities enjoyed by the Qatari economy and the large number of projects that the state seeks to implement are a great opportunity for the Polish side to enter into a new and constructive partnerships with the Qatari side, pointing out that the aim of the Polish business delegation was not only exploring business opportunities but also to get acquainted with Qatari businessmen and share experience with them in areas of mutual interest.
She expressed hope that the meeting between Polish businessmen and their Qatari counterparts would result in constructive trade and investment partnerships for the sake of both economies, stressing the willingness of Polish side to provide their expertise to Qatari counterparts in various fields and agriculture in particular, as Qatar seeks to implement large agricultural projects in the future.
