Qatar-Bosnia and Herzegovina Business Forum was held in Doha last night between Qatari businessmen and their Bosnian counterparts, in presence of Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister of Bosnia and Herzegovina Zlatko Lagumdzija and HE the Chairman of Qatar Chamber of Commerce and Industry Sheikh Khalifa bin Jassim bin Mohammad Al Thani. Commenting on the occasion, the Bosnian Deputy Premier and Foreign Minister hailed Qatar’s contributions to Bosnia and Herzegovina since the nineties, and expressed hope that his country will follow Qatar’s example in achieving a renaissance in all fields. He stressed his country’s keenness to further strengthening cooperation with Qatar, noting that many companies and actors in the Bosnian civil society came to Qatar to achieve this purpose and to provide new prospects for the future of cooperation between the two countries. He highlighted the importance of the Qatari-Bosnian business forum, pointing out that the business community is one of the main factors that contribute to the economic development in countries. In a welcome speech, HE Sheikh Khalifa bin Jassim bin Mohammad Al Thani hoped that the Bosnian delegation’s visit to Qatar will accomplish the desired objectives and contribute to strengthening cooperation and opening new horizons of investment between the two countries. He believed that the visit paid by the President of Bosnia and Herzegovina to Doha recently has launched a new and distinct phase of the economic relations between the two countries. HE Sheikh Khalifa bin Jassim bin Mohammad Al Thani underlined that Qatar Chamber spares no effort in providing support for all joint investment initiatives between the Qatari businessmen and their counterparts from the sisterly countries, and hoped that the meeting will be an opportunity to present the opportunities and investment areas in Bosnia.
