Oryx Rotana Doha Monday announced the appointment of its new Executive Chef Sanguk Lee as part of its strategy to provide guests "with exceptional dining experience".
Originally from South Korea, Chef Lee brings more than 20 years’ of international experience to Oryx Rotana, a five star luxury business hotel owned by Qatar Airways. He will oversee all dining venues as well as hotel catering and private events, the hotel said.
Oryx Rotana Hotel General Manager Kevork Deldelian said, "Lee's wealth of experience and an undeniable passion for food will surely complement our continuous commitment to providing our guests with exceptional dining experiences." Commenting on his appointment, Chef Lee said, "I'm excited about the opportunity to bring our customers' dining experience in Qatar to the next level. I want to re-energize our kitchen and our restaurants by further enhancing our guest experience. My aim is not only to attract more guests but also to preserve Oryx Rotana's patrons." Lee, an alumni of London Metropolitan University, takes over from former Executive Chef Rainer Muller.
