The next tripartite meeting (Government-Central Union-employers), scheduled for Septemebr, will discuss the implementation measures for the repeal of the Article 87a of the Labour Code, said Sunday in Algiers the head of the General Confederation of Algerian Companies (CGEA), Habib Yousfi.
Speaking at a conference on the economic dimensions of the repeal of the article 87a decided during the last Council of Ministers' meeting, Yousfi said that "a tripartite meeting will be held in September to discuss the necessary steps to implement the repeal of this article."
The article 87a of the law 90-11 stipulates that the "national guaranteed minimum wage must include the basic salary, allowances and premiums of any nature other than the allowances paid under reimbursement of expenses engaged by the worker."
The repeal of the article, recommended by unions, has been included in the finance bill 2015 adopted at the Council of Ministers' meeting
Yousfi also underlined the necessity to increase salaries and boost production.
