Morocco’s unemployment rate went up from 9.4 percent to 10.2 percent between the 1st quarter of 2013 and the corresponding period of 2013, says the High Commissioner for Planning (HCP).Unemployed active population rose from 1,077,000 in the 1st quarter of 2013 to 1,191,000 in the same period of 2014 (more 74,000 unemployed persons in urban areas and 40,000 in rural areas), according to the source.Unemployment is higher among the 15-24 age-bracket 20.2 percent.
