The Suez Canal is operating 24/7 despite the ongoing developments in Egypt since the January 25 Revolution, chairman of the Suez Canal Authority Mohab Mamish has said."This important waterway will remain a vital lifeline," Mamish said in a seminar organized by the Suez Canal University.The nonstop operation reflected positively in a remarkable increase in the waterway's revenue, he said, adding the security forces could defend and protect the canal from any form of aggression.He further added that the authority would allocate EGP 2 billions during the coming period to from the canal's revenue to establish the infrastructure of the Suez Canal Axis Development Project, which bodes well for all the country.
