Prime Minister Ibrahim Mahlab met on Tuesday with representatives of Spain's Indra company to follow up a number of projects which are being carried out by the company in Egypt.
The company is responsible for delivering, operating and maintaining the smart card machines in the first and second lines of the underground Metro.
The smart card machines entered the service in April 2013 in more than 65 Metro stations. The cards are used by 500,000 passengers.
During the meeting, the company presented some problems facing its work in Egypt, including the delayed disbursing of its financial dues by the Transport Ministry.
The prime minister ordered to promptly solve the problem.
