The start of electronic registration for the Citizens’ Account Program through the e-portal of the program begins today, according to Majed Al-Isaimi, general supervisor of social development at the Ministry of Labor and Social Development.
He said that registration is available 24 hours a day, and the e-portal for the Citizens’ Account Program is the only way to register the data of beneficiaries of the program.
He said affiliation for all beneficiaries of the social insurance program to the Citizens’ Account Program were completed on Sunday. Individuals who no longer benefit from social insurance can register in the Citizens’ Account Program if they meet the requirements of the program.
The Citizens’ Account Program empowers the economic transformation process in the Kingdom, within the framework of achieving the goals of the National Transformation Program. It develops government work and establishes the necessary infrastructure to achieve the Kingdom’s Vision 2030, and fathom its ambitions and requirements.
Files of the beneficiaries will be studied after registration is completed. A family’s eligibility will be evaluated, and those who qualify will automatically be registered in the support system. Financial support will provide in cash through bank transfers. Stipends to families will be paid before implementing any reforms that could infringe on citizens’ rights. The outcome of the registration will be reviewed for evaluation by a ministerial committee, which is responsible for the Citizens’ Account Program.
Al-Isaimi also pointed out that the program will be subject to regular reviews of natural consumption levels to achieve fairness and support. Reviews will also reflect changes in energy prices and other needs, which might put extra burdens on families.
