Kuwait Red Crescent Society (KRCS) launched Sunday a winter season aid campaign to help Syrian refugees in Akkar, northern Lebanon.
KRCS's official Dr. Musa'ad Al-Enizi told KUNA that the winter aid campaign, which consisted of distributing 1,400 furnaces, will hopefully help Syrian refugees face the harsh cold season.
KRCS will continue help the Syrian refugees cope with their plight which is ongoing since 2011, said the Kuwaiti official Kuwait has been among the vanguard of nations offering aid and humanitarian supplies to over one million Syrian refugees in Lebanon.
