The National Assembly committee on financial and economic affairs discussed on Wednesday the blueprints of decrees to endorse the development plan (2015-2020) and FY 2015-2016.
The committee approved the two drafts and recommended passing them when they are put on the agenda of the National Assembly, MP Mohammad Al-Jabri rapporteur of the committee, told reporters.
"The five-year development plan includes 521 projects, 429 of which are under execution since the last plan and the remaining 92 new projects," Al-Jabri said, noting that these projects cost a total KD 34 billion.
The committee also recommended legal amendments to allow launching a new livestock company and amending law No 15 for 1979 on civil service in order to make the Civil Service Commission better able to exercise its supervisory role, he added.
