The Kuwaiti initiative to support Syrian refugees continued providing aid to those in Al-Beqaa, Lebanon, in cooperation with the Kuwaiti Red Crescent.
Aid was delivered to 250 Syrian families in Zahle, including blankets, food, presents for children and diesel for heating, in coordination with the Lebanese Red Cross, member of the initiative's delegation Fatouh Al-Dalali told Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) on Sunday.
Meanwhile, team member Fawziya Al-Suleiman said that the delegation is visiting Syrian refugees all over Lebanon to determine and provide them with their needs.
Aid coordinator at the Red Cross Yousif Butrus on his part noted that there are currently 165 refugee camps in Zahle and its suburbs, adding that conditions had worsened due to the recent snow storm which hit Lebanon.
Recent statistics have shown that there are over one million Syrian refugees in Lebanon, spreading across different areas including Al-Beqaa, Akkar, Tripoli, Al-Miniyeh and Al-Danniyeh District.
