The Kuwait Fire Services Directorate has signed several deals worth a total of around KD4.47 million (USD15 million) for a revamp of its fleet.
The contracts will usher in "several modernised and high-tech" equipment that will arrive according to a set 12-month deadline, Acting Director-General Brig Gen Khaled Al-Mikrad said in a statement.
The deal is also for replacing worn water and foam hoses in order to raise the efficiency of KFSD centres as the fire authority prepares to open up new branches across the country, he added.
