Director of Studies and Planning at Industrial Cities and Technological Zones Authority, Engineer Abdullah bin Fahd Al-Fasam, stressed the importance of implementing existing projects and future plans for the expansion in the industrial cities throughout the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia aiming to increase the participation of the industrial sector in the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) according to the national strategy for industry. He called in a press statement today businessmen and investors to take advantage of the opportunity of the services of model factories to be provided by the Authority as an investment option to attract more investments and encourage Saudi youths to engage in the industrial sector. He pointed out that the Authority has recently participated in the conference of ‘Summit of major projects in Saudi Arabia,’ which was held in Riyadh and informed industrial investors on the developments being witnessed by industrial cities including increasing the developed areas up to 160 million square meters by 2015, and the possession of 110 million square meters of land ready for investment to be distributed in 29 industrial city, in addition to planning and designing of 5 new industrial cities.
