Receiving Oil Minister Shaikh Mohammed bin Khalifa bin Ahmed Al-Khalifa at Al-Safriya Palace, he reiterated resolve to pursue the development momentum so as to serve the nation, meet citizens’ aspirations and ensure them decent living conditions.
HM the King was updated on the National Oil and Gas Authority (NOGA) projects which follow royal directives to boost the sources of national revenues.
The projects include the new oil pipeline binding Bahrain and Saudi Arabia, the liquefied natural gas (LNG) terminal, Banagas plant expansion, Bapco refinery expansion, in addition to the development of Bahrain oil field and other NOGA-supervised schemes.
HM the King commended the dedicated efforts of the minister as well as the oil and gas workforce to develop the sector and enhance achievements.
He lauded ambitious investment programmes and projects which aim at consolidating the vital sector, being a key pillar of the national economy and driving development engine.
HM the King praised Bahrain’s development strides and paid tribute to dedicated citizens, wishing the minister success in his efforts to develop the oil industry in Bahrain.
The minister expressed thanks and appreciation to HM the King, hailing royal directives and support to the oil and gas sector to play its vital role as the cornerstone of national economic development.
