The Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan Foundation's team, in collaboration with the UAE Embassy in Beirut, has carried out the fifth phase of the Foundation's winter programme, which is part of the UAE Compassion campaign, Tarahmu, to provide assistance to refugees and victims in Lebanon from snowstorm Huda that swept through the Levant and Iraq.
An official source at the Khalifa Foundation said the campaign has been implemented by President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, along with the follow-up of Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, in order to provide assistance to refugees and those affected by the recent snowstorm.
The source also told Emirates News Agency, WAM, that the Foundation's winter programme in Lebanon has targeted 20,000 families, consisting of some 100,000 people, noting that the Foundation's team has so far carried out five phases of the campaign, benefiting about 20,000 people.
