The Tunisian parliament approved a draft law for a loan agreement with the Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development (KFAED) worth 161 million Tunisian dinars ($74 million).
The deal contributes to financing a project aimed at overhauling and developing potable water systems in Tunisia, parliamentary sources said on Saturday.
The sources added the project costs 209 million dinars and aims at meeting increasing needs of drinking water until 2030 and improving the integrated management of water systems along with preserving the environment.
