Jordanian Minister of Labor and Minister of Tourism and Antiquities, Nidal Qatamin, discussed on Wednesday with the Qatari ambassador to Amman, Zayed bin Saeed al-Khayareen, ways to improve bilateral cooperation in several areas, including employment, training, inspection, labor disputes, safety and occupational health, and tourism, Petra News Agency reported.
Both the sides agreed to intensify consultation between the two countries, and to dispatch a delegation from Jordan's labor ministry to impart know how and experience in all relevant areas. This will also enable them to benefit from Jordan's expertise as the country is preparing to host the 2022 World Cup.
Jordan is lending support to Qatar which is set to host the 2022 World Cup, and will be the first Arab country to host an event of this magnitude. The success of the event will reflect positively on both the countries, Qatamin said.
The Qatari ambassador appreciated the depth of Jordan-Qatar relations in all fields, and expressed his country's desire to attract more qualified and trained Jordanian professionals. He also urged for increasing the number of Qatar Airways flights to Jordan.
