The National Association for Investor Protection (NAIP) will organize the first International Conference for Investor Protection on November 17 under the patronage of Prime Minister Abdullah Ensour.
The organizer of the conference, Afaq Group's chief executive officer and member of the NAIP, Khaldun Naseer, told Petra that the conference, which comes at a time when Jordan is witnessing a difficult economic situation, aims to stimulate investment in the Kingdom to address this situation.
Naseer pointed out that the NAIP has always been keen on addressing issues related to investment and investors with the relevant authorities. The conference will bring together public officials and representatives of the private sector together, he added.
He also said that investment will act as a key contributor towards the treasury's revenues and will play an effective role in mitigating unemployment and reviving the level of foreign reserves at the Central Bank of Jordan.
During its sessions, the conference will address issues such as transportation, energy and logistics sectors, in addition to education and health sectors. It will serve as an opportunity for non-Jordanian investors to underline the constraints and challenges that they face in Jordan, Naseer said.
He noted that the conference will host various leaders in investment sector, economic experts, and will also help in attracting investment companies in Jordan, the local banking sector, draw the attention of top industrial and commercial officials, and senior Arab and foreign economic figures.
