On behalf of Prince Mohammed bin Naif bin Abdulaziz, the Minister of Interior, Assistant Interior Minister for Operations General Saeed bin Abdullah Al-Qahtani opened here today the 17th International Conference and Exhibition for Industrial Security organized by the Ministry of Interior represented by the Supreme Committee for Industrial Security.
Addressing the Conference, General Al-Qahtani considered security as the most important blessing enjoyed by the Kingdom which has contributed to its progress and renaissance in all fields, noting that security is a basis of achievements, and the main reason for further prosperity for citizens.For his part, the Official Spokesman of Interior Ministry Major General Mansour Al-Turki reviewed in his speech the Kingdom's achievements in combating terrorism as a major threat to the industrial security through targeting industrial and vital facilities by its terrorist operations.
He stressed that the Kingdom has fought terrorism on three axes including combating, prevention and treatment, which have contributed to the Kingdom's being on the top of countries which were able to dry up the sources of terrorism within its territory, pointing to the prominent role of the society in all its institutions and individuals in participating in this noble work, which has put a tight noose on each one adopted this deviant terrorist thought.
