Inflation in Jordan up by 3.4%

The consumer price index (CPI), a measure of inflation in Jordan, rose by 3.4 percent by the end of January, compared with the same month of 2013, according to the Department of Statistics (DoS). The figure was the outcome of an increase in rentals, prices of vegetables and fruits, transport services, education, clothes and shoes coupled with a drop in the prices of a few other commodities, according to the DoS monthly report published on Tuesday.
