Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) organizes a forum on \"Gulf economic Media .. Reality and Challenges\" late next month to boost relationships between media and business sector in the six GCC countries. Chairman of Board of Chambers of Commerce in the Saudi Eastern region, Abdulrahman Al-Rashed, said in a statement issued here late Monday that the forum would be a turning point in relations between economic media and business sector in GCC countries. Al-Rashed underscored importance of dialogue and interaction between economic communities and economic media in the Arab Gulf countries -- Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Bahrain, Oman and the United Arab Emirates (UAE). The forum, he added, aimed at boosting role of economic media to ultimately help build economic and ambitious societies. Participants in the three-day forum will be discussing shortage of journalists in specialized media, impact of training, contribution of economic media to development programs, and how economic media can help attract foreign investments and transparency.
