The GCC Financial and Economic Cooperation Committee held today its 106th meeting in the Kingdom of Bahrain on Thursday under the chairmanship of Bahrain's Minister of Finance, Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Khalifa.
The meeting was attended by ministers of finance, economy and planning in the GCC countries, with the participation of Dr. Abdul Latif Bin Rashid Al Zayani, Secretary-General of the Gulf Cooperation Council, GCC.
Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Khalifa said that the meeting represents an opportunity to discuss and consult on a number of important topics that will enhance the Council's joint action in the areas of financial and economic integration.
The minister expressed his hope that consensus will be reached on shared visions and understanding on all topics to be discussed, adding that the meeting will serve as a positive boost to the economic dimension of the GCC joint action to achieve the aspirations of GCC countries' leadership.
The GCC Secretary-General praised the efforts of Sheikh Ahmed Al Khalifa and the members of the Committee to further economic and financial integration among the GCC countries
