President of Gabon Ali Bongo Ondimba visited, Saturday at midday, El-Ghazala Technological and Telecommunication Pole near Ariana.
Accompanied by Minister of Higher Education, Scientific Research and Communication Technologies Taoufik Jelassi, the President of Gabon enquired about the activities of the technopole in the field of research and technological development, through the example of Tunisian Telecom firms.
In the workshop of electromagnetic synchronisation of the Centre of Studies and Research in Telecommunication, President Ali Bongo Ondimba and the delegation accompanying him took interest in the characteristics of this advanced laboratory.
Tunisia’s guest commended the Tunisian experience in the ICTs field and the efforts of research and technological development of Tunisian enterprises operating in this sector, voicing his country’s intention to establish relations of co-operation and exchange of expertise with Tunisia in various fields, in particular in the communication technologies.
Gabon’s President visited, Saturday morning, the Martyr square of Séjoumi, where he laid a wreath of flowers at the memorial site.
Minister of Defence and Governor of Tunis attended the ceremony.
