Sudan may purchase Antonov\'s from Ukraine

The State Minister at the Ministry of Transport, Roads and Bridges, Engineer Faisal Hammad, said that his recent visit and the accomapnying delegation of Sudan Airways to Ukraine came in compliance with the country’s policy for reliance on eastern technologies. He said in a statement to SUNA that the delegation held talks with the Ukrainian officials on purchasing modern Antonov jets from Ukraine. He pointed out that Sudan is moving eastward to purchase these airpanes came to avert problems resulting from sanctions being imposed by the United States on Sudan. The minister asserted that he felt the genuine desire of all Ukrainian officials whom he met during his visit to cooperate with Sudan in the field of aviation and other industrial fields.
