National exports according to certificates of origin issued by the Amman Chamber of Industry (ACI) stood at JD3.94 billion in 2014 compared to JD3.99 billion in 2013.
President of the ACI Senator Ziyad Humsi said that Jordanian exports maintained their share in exports markets despite the fierce competition, especially with the rise of fuel prices and the political situation in some major markets for Jordan, mainly Iraq. He stressed the importance of supporting the Jordanian industries at this stage, pointing to the role played by national industries in employing Jordanians.
Iraq topped the list of markets importing Jordanian products, standing at JD816 million followed by Saudi Arabia which imported JD547 million worth of national products.
