Chairman of the Egyptian Trade Union Federation (ETUF) Gebaly el Maraghy on Saturday chaired a meeting of the Board of Directors and the trade unions' representatives to discuss preparations for the Workers' Day celebration, slated for Monday at the Police Academy.
Maraghy said 2015 ceremony, scheduled to be attended by President Abdel Fattah El Sisi, would be different from any previous such celebrations.
Egypt's workers would pledge to exert more effort to increase the production and promote the national economy, he added.
Prime Minister Ibrahim Mahlab, al Azhar Grand Imam Ahmed el Tayeb, Pope Tawadros II of Alexandria and Patriarch of Saint Mark Diocese, Manpower Minister Nahed el Ashri, ministers and governors are also scheduled to attend the event.
