Showing the wisdom and vision of a great leader that is his wont, the approach adopted by His Highness Sheikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, of posting the strategy for the National Human Resource Development and Employment Authority (Tanmia) for 2011-2013 on his website for people's feedback deserves commendation, commented a UAE daily. "Inputs from people from all sectors ranging from education to national identity were assessed and a team formed thereafter to revise the education agenda in cooperation with the Cabinet", the "Gulf News" said in its today's editorial. The views of the people would go a long way in formulating the Emiratisation strategy which is mainly focused on reducing unemployment and boosting the presence of Emirati professionals in the private sector. "Every step has been taken in a considered manner in an attempt to ensure that the process of Emiratisation and education are policies that complement each other. This would meet the UAE's national initiatives", added the paper. A 10-point agenda to ensure that key objectives are met will be pursued along with the setting up of an Emiratisation database that will provide employers with ready updates on the Emiratisation rate in all sectors. Emboldened by these policies the Emiratis may now display their resolve and ambition to embark on a path to success.
