A new 20-truck relief convoy arrived in Gaza last night tonight sent by the Emirates Red Crescent for those affected by events in the Gaza Strip.
The trucks carried loads of food parcels, clothes and blankets, medicine, hygiene kits, baby items.
Humaid Al Shamsi, Deputy Secretary-General of ERC for International Aid, said that the trucks were transferred to depots and Palestinian Red Crescent warehouses for the Palestinian Red Crescent to arrange distribution to those affected by the events in the Gaza Strip.
He explained that the convoy is the fifth to be processed by the Emirates Red Crescent and enter to Gaza through the Rafah crossing.
Al Shamsi reaffirmed in a statement after the arrival of the convoy that the land bridge which was allocated to the Emirates Red Crescent is still open to alleviate the suffering of the people of Gaza, where the situation is very difficult and needs concerted efforts to help displaced people who lost their homes, to work on supporting them to return to their homes and helping them to achieve stability.
