Egypt's Investment Minister Ashraf Salman met on Sunday with Keiko Honda, the executive vice president of the Multilateral Investment Guarantee Agency (MIGA), in Washington.
"Salman discussed with Honda ways of increasing the Egyptian investments in the African continent," according to a statement by the Investment Ministry.
He also expounded on measures taken by the Egyptian government to improve the investment climate in Egypt.
Honda, for her part, said the MIGA is keen to cooperate with Egypt through urging foreign investors to pump investments in Egypt.
She also congratulate Salman on the success of the Egyptian Economic Development Conference, which wrapped up in Sharm el Sheikh a month ago.
The Egyptian minister met also with a senior official at the International Finance Corporation as they tackled ways of promoting the investment sector in Egypt.
Slaman noted that the under-construction national projects will increase the volume of foreign direct investments in Egypt.
The Multilateral Investment Guarantee Agency is the political risk insurance and credit enhancement arm of the World Bank Group.
