Minister of Urban Development and Slum Areas Laila Iskandar underlined the importance of the economic conference which will be held in Sharm el Sheikh in mid March.
The conference will contribute to promoting economic development, she added in statements on Monday.
The ministry will propose five projects to investors and international donor bodies during the conference, she added.
The projects include the establishment of three projects to establish industrial complexes for waste recycling and set up a fertilizer plant of organic waste, she explained.
Negotiations are underway with a number of Gulf countries to fund projects to develop 81 different slum areas, added the minister.
