Cairo - MENA

Trade and Industry Minister Tariq Qabil on Saturday met with UAE Minister of State and Head of the Coordination Office for the UAE Development Projects in Egypt Sultan Ahmed Al Jabir to discuss ways to promote bilateral relations.

In a statement after the meeting, Qabil said that the first meeting of the UAE-Egyptian Business Council with its new formation will be held in January.

He added that the council plays an important role in pushing forward bilateral relations to new heights during the next phase.

UAE-Egyptian relations is a model for successful relations based on genuine partnership and constructive cooperation for the benefit of the people of the two countries, Qabil said.

The meeting dealt with strengthening cooperation between the two countries, especially development projects implemented in cooperation with the UAE side, including the Egyptian Emirati Training for Employment project, which was launched in April 2014 with UAE funds amounted to EGP 250 million.

Qabil also reviewed the government's efforts to facilitate investment conditions to all investors, including the UAE investors, stressing the government's keenness to solve all the problems and obstacles facing the UAE investments in Egypt.
