Egyptian Prime Minister Ibrahim Mahlab inaugurated here Monday night the seventh Kuwaiti week event, themed "Kuwait in Egypt".
The gathering was attended by Kuwait's Ambassador to Egypt Salem Al-Zamanan, besides a number of Egyptian and Kuwaiti businessmen, cultural figures and artists.
Al-Zamanan told KUNA on the sidelines of the function that Kuwait's participation reflects the historical and deep-rooted relations between both countries.
He stressed the importance of sustainable cooperation at all levels, as Kuwait is keen on enhancing ties with Egypt in all fields.
Kuwaiti educational missions in Egypt, besides the remarkable exchange of expertise in the media and arts fields were basic pillars in the strong bonds between both nations, he affirmed.
Organization of this event in Egypt comes to show the world how Egypt is cherishing stability and safety, as the country is preparing also for an economic conference called by Egyptian President to be held next March, Chairman of Al-Jabriya Exhibition Group Ahmad Ismail Behbehani said.
He hailed the Egyptian continuous support to all Arabs states, especially Kuwait, as it was among the first countries that demanded Iraq to withdraw its troops from Kuwait during the 1990 invasion. A total of 70 governmental and Kuwaiti and Egyptian private institutions took part in the three-day event, which kicked off on December 15.
