Egypt's Trade and Industry Minister Mounir Fakhry Abdel Nour took part in the opening of the 52nd International Agricultural Show in Paris on Saturday.
French President Francois Hollande attended the conference along with a strong media presence.
The opening was also attended by the Egyptian delegation which accompanied the minister, including Egypt's Ambassador in Paris Ihab Badawy and Egypt's trade adviser Ali el Lethi.
Agriculture has a large role to play in food security, building resilience to the effects of climate change and reducing humankind's emissions of global warming gases.
