Egypt's balance of trade deficit dropped by 7.6 percent in March on a year-on-year basis, said an official bulletin released on Monday.
The shortage hit EGP20.5 billion compared to EGP22.19 billion in the same month in 2013, said the Central Agency for Public Mobilization.
Exports stood at 18.03 billion against 19.08 billion in 2013, said the report.
Imports plunged by 6.6 percent to 38.35 billion, added the report.
