The Shura Council convened Tuesday to discuss a report by the financial committee on the draft budget for 2013-2014. This is the first budget that the council reviews in detail, said MP Essam el-Eryan of the Freedom and Justice Party, noting that the January 25 Revolution is credited for that. Political reform is on track and will never stop, Eryan told the Upper House of parliament. He made it clear that the FJP is keen on maintaining subsidy for the limited income brackets. He urged a structural reform of wages. Eryan said the previous regime will not come back to power.
