Egyptian Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry said that Egypt pays real attention to Africa to achieve full integration among the continent's countries.
In statements to MENA on the sideline of the meeting of the African foreign ministers here on Monday ahead of the African summit, Shoukry said Egypt started since its return to the African Union to be fully involved in the activities of the AU and that he made many visits to African countries during the past six months.
He expressed Egypt's readiness to contribute to the development process in the African states due to the potentials it enjoys, pointing out to the mega projects being carried out by major Egyptian companies in Africa such as the Arab Contractors company.
He said that bilateral meetings will be held by the heads of state and foreign ministers on the sidelines of the summit to discuss various issues including the empowerment of women, the Ebola virus problem, the UN Security Council reform and the development plan for Africa which lasts till 2063.
On his meetings in Addis Ababa, Shoukry said he met with the foreign ministers of Norway and Liberia and will meet later with more foreign ministers on means to cement cooperation among the African states.
