Marsa Matrouh Governor Badr Tantawi el Ghandour approved Thursday the proposal of an investment company that would establish a tourist project in the governorate at total cost of 14.5 billion pounds.
These remarks came during the meeting between el Ghandour and the officials of the company where he listened to an explanation about the project to be established on 2.230 feddans area of Sidi Abdel Rahman.
The venture will include seven hotels, 24.000 housing unit, a hospital, schools, a university, a water desalination unit, a sewage treatment unit, electricity generating and police stations as well as a post office.
The project will be finished in seven years, the governor said.
He further reiterated that the venture would offer 20.000 job opportunities which would increase to 98.000 ones after finishing it.
