In line with Dubai Customs sustained approach in support of charity and societal works for the best interest of the community at large, a total of 928 revamped electronic devices were distributed to Beit Al Khair Society.
The devices included 308 personal computers, 390 desktop screens, 93 printers and 137 laptops.
Director of Corporate Communication at Dubai Customs, Khalil Saqer bin Gharib affirmed that this in-kind offering was made upon the deep understanding of the needs of the community groups under support of Beit Al Khair Society welfare scheme.
Furthermore, such undertakings are an evident testimony on the consensus of Dubai Customs employees towards supporting the needy, and as part of their moral and patriot duty towards the community in bringing happiness to all.
Bin Gharib also commended the efforts of Beit Al Khair Society and highlighted their crucial role in ensuring the wellbeing of their beneficiaries’ at large.
This initiative was finely tuned towards fulfilling the needs of the poor and needy segments, particularly of students, for modern devices, as the world has become largely dependent on technology.
"We want to have a generation of fully connected and technologically up-to-date young men and women, so as they can lead the future of the nation," Khalil Saqer stated.
Beit Al Khair Society has a longstanding record of philanthropy across 25 years of devotion and caring. The society is managing numerous income-generating projects amongst many other programmes for the best interest of the needy, the poor, widows, imprisoned breadwinners families and all who are in dire need for help. The Society has set a living example of planning, performance and accomplishments, embodying the love of the Emirati people for charity and humanitarian work.
