The Arab Investment and Export Credit Guarantee Corp. (Dhaman) and Jordan Investment Board have signed a Memorandum of Understanding in many investment realms. On the fringes of the Arab Investment Meeting (AIM), currently being held in Kuwait, the MoU was signed by Dhaman's Director-General Fahad Al-Ibrahim and Acting CEO of Jordan Investment Board Dr. Awni Al-Rshoud. The agreement provides direct and regular exchange of information between the two corporations on Arab and foreign investment companies. Making field visits to Arab and foreign companies is also included in the agreement. Dhaman has signed similar agreements with other investment institutes to encourage investment in the Arab region through giving a comprehensive insurance plan against financial risks or losses. Dhaman was created in 1974 as a supranational political (investment) risk insurer and export credit guarantee provider. Its key role is to encourage investments and trade amongst the Arab member countries. Its membership comprises all Arab states and certain international Arab organizations, themselves backed by Arab governments in a normal shareholding structure.
