The Dubai Electricity and Water Authority, DEWA, has honoured winners of its Special Act Awards for their constructive input and successful initiatives that helped save the authority over AED8 million in the first quarter of the year.
Speaking on the occasion, Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, DEWA’s MD and CEO, praised the efforts of DEWA’s employees, who, he said, include many who contribute to supporting DEWA’s vision to become a sustainable world-class utility.
"Recognising the innovations of our excellent employees helps us achieve the vision of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the U.A.E. and Ruler of Dubai, to support and recognise innovators and reward their efforts. It also complements DEWA's objectives to foster the creativity of our staff and honour distinguished employees, which in turn contributes to greater job satisfaction and the efficiency of our services," he said.
