The Federation of Egyptian Industries asserted that putting off the parliamentary elections will not harm the economic conference due in March in Sharm el Sheikh and the attraction of foreign investments.
President Abdel Fattah El Sisi called for a vote on the rules related to the parliamentary election within a month, Head of the Federation of Egyptian Industries Mohamed el Swedy said in a statement Monday.
Postponing the election is a direct message to the world that Egypt respects the law and the court rulings, he said.
The Supreme Constitutional Court annulled Sunday the third article of the electoral constituencies law that defines the scope of electoral constituencies, the number of seats allocated for each constituency and the individual list.
