Damietta Governor Ismail Abdul Hamid Taha on Saturday said that an international conference is scheduled to take place in Taba in May for marketing furniture with eight African countries.
The governor added that the conference aims to achieve a genuine partnership between Damietta business, workshop owners and furniture exporters on the one hand, and companies from these African countries on the other hand.
There is an urgent need to integrate small entities in a major joint stock company that can deal with the global market, the governor said.
We are going to develop future plans to help and secure the furniture industry in Egypt, he added.
