Prime Minister Ibrahim Mahlab approved Monday a presidential bill amending some provisions of law No. 186 of 1986 on regulating customs exemptions.
Per the amendments, buses of the state-owned Misr Travel Co. will be exempted from paying the customs even after changing the purpose for which the buses got a customs exemption, as they will be used for public transport in greater Cairo.
The Cabinet also approved temporarily the exemption of floating hotels in the Upper Egyptian city of Esna by 50 percent of customs tariff until the return of Nile cruises tours to their normal level.
