Beheira Governor Mostafa Hadhoud discussed on Saturday with a businessmen delegation steps to establish a factory to transform rice straw into paper pulp used in producing papers at a cost of a half billion pounds.
"The project is eco-friendly and depends on the solar power," Saudi businessman Badr el-Zahran, who headed the delegation, said.
The project will provide about 3,000 job opportunities for the residents of the governorate, he added.
The factory is planned to be established on an area of 25 feddans allocated by the governorate.
