His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa has said that countries of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) are the most stable within a volatile and unstable region thanks to the success of their leaders and governments in safeguarding the stability of their nations.
He called upon GCC peoples to join ranks and rally together to face "enemies of development and stability" who are plotting to undermine their countries' security and progress.
HRH Premier made the statements as he received at the Gudaibiya Palace today Energy Minister Dr. Abdul Hussain bin Ali Mirza, who introduced to him a delegation of senior participants in the 19th Middle East Oil & Gas Show and Conference (MEOS 2015), held in the Kingdom under his partnership.
The delegation comprised Kuwaiti Minister of Oil and Minister of State for National Assembly Affairs Ali Saleh Al-Omair, UAE Energy Minister Suhail Mohamed Faraj Al Mazrouei, Secretary-General of the Organisation of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) Abdalla Salem El-Badri and MEOS 2015 Conference Chairman Abdul Hameed Al-Rushaid.
HRH Premier underscored the importance of organising events and conferences that contribute to developing the oil and gas industry in the kingdom, given the opportunities they provide for practitioners to be updated on the latest scientific methods and innovations.
He highlighted the increasing importance of MEOS year after year, being a platforms that brings together all oil and gas experts under one roof.
HRH the Prime Minister underlined the Government of Bahrain's keen interest in developing the oil and gas sector, given its role in supporting the country's sustainable development programmes aiming to improve the citizens' living standards.
He affirmed the Kingdom's constant keenness to adopt programmes that enable it to meet its energy needs and enhance its oil and gas production potentials.
Heads of GCC delegations to MEOS 2015 expressed sincere thanks and appreciation to HRH Premier for his constant support to the event, which, they said, has ensured its continuous success.
They said the Kingdom's advanced oil and gas industry reflected the sound policies of the government in regard.
