His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa has lauded the distinguished level, quality and diversity of national products.
He urged to adopt initiatives to promote national products and make them a favourable choice at regional and international markets.
This came as HRH Premier received at the Gudaibiya Palace today the Industry and Commerce Minister Dr. Hassan bin Abdulla Fakhro.
HRH Premier was informed about a number of the products of national industries.
He was briefed by the Dr. Fakhro on the size of investment in national industries, which, he said, had reached BD4 million in the Salman Industrial City.
HRH Premier expressed pride in the progress of Bahraini industries thanks to the successful government's policies in this regard, noting that the kingdom has become a productive country that does not rely on importation only.
He directed to launch initiatives to support local products and make it more favourable for consumers in terms of quality and price.
The Industry and Commerce Minister praised HRH Premier's constant support for national industries, being basic development tributaries and an essential pillar of the strategy to diversify income sources.
He highlighted the importance of national industries in increasing the kingdom's GDP and generating job opportunities for the national workforce.
