Minister of Labour, Chairman of Supreme Council for Vocational Training, Jameel bin Mohammad Ali Humaidan, today received Chairman of Specific Council For Vocational Training in Industrial sector, Eng. Yusuf Ibrahim Fakhro, and board members.
The meeting reviewed joint initiatives target rehabilitating, training and honing national workforce skills to improve job performance and increase productivity and profitability.
The minister stressed the importance of diversifying initiatives aimed at the development of national workforce in the industrial sector.
He pointed out the success and growth of industrial companies in the Kingdom of Bahrain thanks to their great interest in adopting the national cadre.
He noted the Labour Ministry's readiness to provide all aspects of support for industrial enterprises to encourage national cadres to join the industrial sector to contribute to promoting national economy and development march.
Eng. Fakhro said that the Specific Council seeks raising the Bahrainisation rate, where current rate is 19.5% in industrial sector. Adding that 32,000 workers are currently working in 150 companies working under the umbrella of the Specific Council For Vocational Training.
